Title : Supervisor/ Medical Technologist

Description:
A Supervisor has the appropriate educational background to supervise, coordinate and perform laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established and approved hospital and departmental policies and procedures that require independent judgement and responsibility with minimal technical supervision. Our supervisors use effective communication and are compliant with all federal, state and local agencies. May be expected to rotate shifts and work overtime as needed for our clients. They must provide direction and facilitate efficient work flow in all departments on the laboratory. They must demonstrate independent judgement, knowledge of regulatory agency standards and participate in long term goals to include planning and implementation.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:
1. Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a generalist in the acute care/trauma hospital laboratory setting. Minimum 3-5 years exp. in Blood Banking in acute care/trauma comparable to Level II facility. Supervisory experience preferred.
