Our Client, an 800+ bed regional academic medical center, seeks a medical director to lead an established Integrative Medicine service. The director will coordinate existing services/programs, and develop new services to support patients, their families and care providers. Additionally, the director will promote the service to the community via seminars and presentations, assist physicians with the medical and psychological management of their patients, and integrate with traditional medicine. The Integrative Medicine service is an integral part of the cancer center, but may support patients with other chronic conditions in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Board Certified/Board Eligible MD/DO
- Fellowship or clinical experience in Integrative Medicine
- Advocate of the Andrew Weil philosophy of wellness
- Prefer a minimum of 2-years experience in an oncology program
PRACTICE
- Monday – Friday office hours
- Physicians see an average of 20-30 patients per week
- No call - Some after hours responsibilities on weekends and evenings due to programs and ceremonies
