Position
Iowa Heart Center (IHC), a 61-member, single-specialty cardiovascular group, seeks a non-interventional cardiologist to assume a solo practice. The IHC office is equipped to perform echo and nuclear cardiography. The physician serves a regional population of 80,000. There is minimal competition and little managed care. The market is expected to continue its growth due to the aging population.
As a member of the IHC, physicians will appreciate the independence of working in a small group setting, while enjoying the benefits of one of the largest cardiology groups in the country. In house staff provides support in billing, coding, human resources, transcription, information technology and marketing. IHC offers physicians an electronic medial record (EMR) and remote access to digital test results.
The hospital, a 99-bed facility with a connected 79-bed nursing home, has recently completed a major expansion of its facility, and provides a state-of-the-art ICU/CCU. It has been designated as one of 16 regional hospitals in Iowa by the Iowa State Department of Health.

Call supported by other offices of IHC
Physicians see an average of 20 to 25 patients each day
Physicians will perform outreach to communities within 25 miles
