Position
Our client seeks a non-interventional cardiologist to assume the existing practice of a physician who recently left the community. The new physician will join a colleague trained in general cardiology and electrophysiology. The practice is part of a large regional health system. Over 200 physicians are part of the clinic which provides primary care and specialty services in 70 locations throughout southwest Virginia.
The clinic occupies a new 14,000 sq. ft. office facility with state-of-the-art equipment, including nuclear medicine, ultrasound, tilt table, stress testing, holter monitor, cardioversion, pacemaker and protime clinics, laboratory, x-ray and electronic medical record. The local hospital offers catheterization facilities.
Case Types
Inpatient and outpatient cardiology, diagnostic catheterizations, nuclear cardiology, stress testing, and echocardiography.
Schedule/Call
Monday through Friday, no after hours or weekend clinics
Call is 1:4 and is for consults only. In the average week physicians are asked to go to the hospital only once and get about 5 after hours calls.
30 patient encounters today, including clinic visits and patient testing
Compensation/Benefits
