Performs and documents total nursing care and physical assessment for patients within scope of care for the critical care unit.
Assesses patient. Plans, delegates, and coordinates care and follow up with other associates, other departments, MD's. Administers all medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration. Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings and documents information (including patient teaching, and discharge planning in collaboration with patient's family and multi disc. team members). Acquires/maintains current critical care nursing knowledge. Strong communicator.
Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and hold a current RN license in Virginia. Acute care hospital experience in Critical Care Unit is preferred.
Reports to: Clinical Coordinator
Shift: nites; 730p-8a
Relocation level: negotiable
