Job Description:

Position Title: Registered Nurse-CCU -reporting to the Nurse Manager of area.

This highly respected central California medical center, has two CCU nursing opportunities available now. If you are a CCU nurse with at least one year of Med/Surg and one to two years of CCU, wanting to work with a great team, this is the job for you!


This position will appeal to a professional nurse who is patient focused and wants to work in an environment that promotes a high level of practice. Effectively lead staff in accomplishment of Mission, strategic and operational initiatives,
work as a cooperative and effective team member,
plan, organize, delegate and complete programs, projects and activities.

The position requires that you have or obtain a \ California Registered Nurse license. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; Masters preferred. Five years recent hospital nursing management and/or supervisory experience in an Emergency setting is also required. Knowledge of current and emerging industry trends affecting health care, and nursing practice is preferred. Must have a record of demonstrating leadership competencies.

Regular Shifts: 2 positions available, one days and one nocs, (with $3 shift differential.)


Current California RN License (or ability to endorse into CA),
current BLS,
current ACLS,
basic EKG Course,
completion of Critical Care Nursing Course,
3 years RN Experience, with at lteast one year in each of Med/Surg and CCU,
CCRN Certification.



v Ensure that services are delivered to patients and customers in a way that anticipates and meets their needs, are compassionate, timely, complete, clinically appropriate, and show continuous performance improvement.

v Develop and maintain positive, productive physician relationships that facilitate delivery of quality patient care in a manner that is consistent with our mission.

v Demonstrate effective and collaborative management skills and leadership competencies in selecting, developing, managing, evaluating, coaching, disciplining and communicating with staff.

v Plan, control and monitor the capital, human resources and operational budgets of all assigned functions so that budget performance goals are regularly met or exceeded.

v As a member of the hospital management team, participates in the planning, decision making and implementation process for new hospital initiatives. Continually evaluate existing programs and recommend/implement revisions, modifications and improvements.

v Develop, implement and monitor departmental objectives, which add business value and support other hospital-wide objectives.

v Coordinate nursing activities with other areas where there are functional relationships.

v Participate and/or lead unit and departmental Performance Improvement activities and support staff in organization-wide teams.

v Work closely with Divisional staff on joint projects and operations.

v Assist in development and implementation of guest/patient relation’s initiatives, providing training and support to foster excellent customer service.

v Directs and manages ER Services to assure a continuously improving level of clinical quality, service, operational effectiveness, and overall hospital image.

v Assure compliance with hospital policy, regulatory and statutory standards, including but not limited to Title 22, JCAHO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal.

v Assures that nursing care is provided that is age appropriate, properly documented, and continuously evaluated.

v Demonstrates ability to effectively problem-solve, and develop and utilize resources optimally.

v Participate in Facility Corporate or Divisional initiatives as requested.
Maintains staff and personal competence as required.

v Participate in regularly scheduled meetings and ongoing education designed to improve individual competence.

v Participates regularly in community organizations, activities and/or initiatives that support our Mission.

Salary: $27-37/hr plus differential, DOE, plus benefits.

Sign-On Bonus: $7,500 for 18 months ($1000 after 30 days, then $500 per month.)

Relocation Bonus: Up to $2500 relocation allowance for out of area candidates.
