Requires current AZ RN license or other compact state RN license. One year of Endoscopy experience is required. Must possess highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrate behaviors consistent with those identified as the hospital's service standards.
These positions serve as base unit staff for Endoscopy. Incumbents will use specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skills based upon the principles of biological, physical and social sciences to facilitate patient's achievement of optimum health status. Provides leadership and coordination to the healthcare team and will maintain standards of professional skills.
The Endoscopy Department was designed to provide an attractive, healing environment for adult patients and their families. Procedures include ERCP, EGD, Colonoscopy, Thoracentesis / Paracentesis and Bronchoscopy.
Number of beds:
Endoscopy provides 5 procedure rooms, with a 6 bay holding area.
Endoscopy provides care from 6a-6:30p, Monday through Friday, utilizing staggered shifts for the RN’s.
Excellent patient care both pre- and post-procedure is the primary goal of our staff. Working as part of a team is a fundamental requirement in Endoscopy. Utilizing our Share Leadership model, patient care decisions are driven by the staff.
Unique features of the unit:
Endoscopy has an average census of 20-25 patients per day. The Endoscopy population includes both outpatients and inpatients. To serve out-patient population, Endoscopy staff go to the ICU as well as the ER.
