Nurse Manager - Adult Pysch
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care and all nursing activities for assigned units. Maximizes resource utilization and achieves organizational objectives through continuous improvement and process evaluation for cost effective care and quality clinical outcomes. Ensures compliance with established organizational, professional and accreditation standards and state/federal laws and regulations. Education/License: Graduation from an accredited School of nursing. BSN preferred; master's degree desired. Current State of Alaska RN license. Behavioral Health: Master's degree in psychiatric nursing or equivalent in ongoing experience and training. Specialty certification preferred. Experience/Skills/Abilities: Minimum 5 years current acute care nursing experience; minimum 1 year in supervisory/management position. Ability to effectively interface with a wide variety of people and to provide excellent customer service. Proven leadership and communication skills. Requires research, development and implementation skills. Well organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Basic personal computer skills required. Behavioral Health: If no master's degree in psychiatric nursing, minimum 5 years current behavioral health experience and minimum 30 hours training in psychiatric nursing over past 2 years.
