Biomedical Equipment Technician II - Ogden, Utah
POSITION SUMMARY: Eagle Systems has an immediate need to fill BMET positions and is seeking resumes for current open full-time Biomedical Equipment Technicians to work on USAMMA/AMEDD projects at the following locations as soon as possible:
Defense Depot in Tracy, California
Sierra Army Depot in Herlong, California
Hill Air Force Base outside of Salt Lake City, Utah
We are interviewing applicants now for additional work beginning in September 2008:
19 positions at Hill Air Force Base
20 positions at Defense Depot, Tracy, California
4 positions at Sierra Army Depot, Herlong, California
SCOPE: Uses traditional engineering expertise to analyze and solve problems regarding the design, development, and safety testing of biomedical equipment. Serves as the principal action officer for maintenance related acquisition support, fielding, and sustainment of medical laboratory equipment, contact patient monitoring systems, and digital imaging/radiographic equipment.
Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Data entry and computer software experience.
Professional experience in dealing with clients and/or customer service.
Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances in compliance with government regulations and requirements.
Familiar with the biomedical maintenance field and its concepts, practices, and procedures.
Familiar with U.S. Army acronyms.
A.A.S. in Medical Equipment Technology, AAMI Certification, and/or graduate of DoD Medical Equipment Repairers Course.
Minimum of four years directly related experience in the biomedical field.
Ability to obtain and maintain an applicable security clearance.
Bachelors degree in area of specialty and/or the equivalent combination of training, experience, and education.
Advanced degree in area of specialty.
Experience as a biomedical technician at the location of the opening.
Experience performing biomedical equipment maintenance and repair on Army and/or Air Force Medical Equipment.
Experience performing maintenance cycles on Medical Equipment Sets that have returned from deployments and/or have been in long-term storage facilities.
Experience performing technical inspections of new, used or reconditioned Army medical equipment.
Experience with medical equipment overhaul.
More than six years of directly related experience.
Technical certifications relating to position requirements.
Proven technical writing skills.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL OR WORK CONDITIONS RELATED TO THE JOB:
Willingness and ability to frequently travel.
