Position

Seeking a BE/BC Non-Interventional Cardiologist for a new facility that will offer a full range of diagnostic services and serve a population of 150,000 in central Iowa. This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the largest cardiology practices in the Midwest.



The Iowa Heart Center (IHC) is a 61-member, single-specialty cardiovascular group that includes cardiologists, Electrophysiologist, and cardiac and vascular surgeons. The group enjoys an 85% market share in its service area, with only one small group competing in the Des Moines market. IHC physicians treated 100,000 patients from across the Midwest in 2005. The group is very active in clinical research, utilizing Meta 2 guidelines.



As a member of the Iowa Heart Center, physicians will appreciate the independence of working in a small group setting, while enjoying the benefits of one of the largest cardiology groups in the country. In house staff provides support in billing, coding, human resources, transcription, information technology and marketing; services a small group cannot offer. Iowa Heart offers physicians an electronic medial record (EMR) and remote access to digital test results. The group also offers a concierge service to help the new physician look for a new home, church, school, or any other community need.



Compensation/Benefits

  • This is initially an employee position. Partnership is available after two years
