Our client seeks family practice physicians for several practice locations in the Reading, PA area. These are outpatient practices with minimal after hours call and no hospital responsibilities. Patients include adults and pediatrics (over age 12).

The medical group will provide a competitive two-year salary guarantee, full benefits, occurrence malpractice insurance, and relocation, including a temporary housing allowance. Physicians are compensated based on RVUs, buffering physicians from payer discounts and bad debts.

The practice is part of a medical group, which includes 70 physicians specializing in internal medicine, family practice, and obstetrics. The group will be expanded to 150 members by the end of 2007, and 200 to 300 in the future. The group was established at the request of local physicians to provide greater financial stability, improve negotiating strength with insurance payers, assist in recruiting, and to provide resources for information systems, etc.

Reading and its surrounding areas provides upscale housing, reasonable cost of living, safe neighborhoods, and a laid-back life-style, with major cities nearby such as Philedelphia (60 miles away), New York City (125 miles away) and Baltimore (90 miles away).
