Bioinformatics Director

Description Manage multiple medium to large-scale projects and/or clients Develop and monitor project plans and schedule for those projects/clients Applies technical knowledge and analytical skills to proactively identify and solve Bioinformatics issues Responsible for identifying and developing profitable incremental business Develops, executes and maintains strategic marketing plan for new business development Identifies refinements and enhancements to MSA-developed software in conjunction with clients and MSA teams Remain current on industry trends in data capture tools for clinical and research studies Produces marketing materials Focuses externally on business development, setting new target markets and programs for incremental business Leverages in-depth understanding of client needs and MSA's core competencies Serves as internal focal point for new business development marketing and sales initiatives Required Skills Four-year degree in Bioinformatics, Health Sciences or related field, Masters preferred Minimum ten years of related experience inlcuding work within a hospital or clinical environment Knowledge of new business venture operations to extend MSA Life Sciences division's reach beyond traditional organizations Proficient in strategic planning and tactical execution of data management and bio-informatics marketing plans Ability to anticipate client needs and translate them into sales opportunities In depth understanding of Informatics Solid background in clinical and Bioinformatics Experience and excellent reputation within the medical informatics industry Ability to develop, gain support for, execute and expand revenue-producing sales plans Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to articulate and facilitate technical, business and analytical discussions across all disciplines Organized, detail-oriented person, with good time management skills Able to work with all levels of management in an effective, proactive manner Working knowledge of process management and control Takes full ownership and accountability for their, and other's work Domain expertise required (hospital, clinical, transplant specific a plus) Provide most recent publications and presentations as well as Professional Societal Memberships As an international industry leader, we can offer you an exceptional working environment, salary commensurate with experience and an incredible benefits package including: Flexible working hours Casual dress Profit Sharing & Savings Plan (401K with matching funds) On-site massages A Floating Holiday in addition to Vacation and Eight Paid Holidays Free Parking Cash Bonuses paid for employee referrals Health, Dental, and Vision Plans, and Short and Long Term Disability Your interest in our company is appreciated however, only candidates considered for interview selection will be notified.
