The physicians in this group provide cardiac consultations and a full scope of procedures. They refer inpatients to the hospitalist service. The group’s 68 primary care physicians provide a steady, reliable flow of referrals.

Diagnostic test results are interpreted and managed digitally. They can be accessed at the hospital and the physicians’ homes. The group utilizes electronic medical records.

This practice is part of a highly successful 170-physician, self-governed health system that serves a 220,000 patient population. It is the only multi-specialty group of its size in this beautiful, semi-rural region of North Central Washington.

PRACTICE

We are seeking an invasive/non-interventional and an interventional cardiologist. This group currently has six cardiologists and an electrophysiologist joining them in August 2007.

Two interventionalists do 270 interventions a year. They take their own call; therefore, with the addition of a third interventionalist, call will be 1:3.

The group has three invasive and one non-invasive cardiologists. These physicians also share call; therefore, with the additional of a fifth member, call will be 1:5.

A cardiac surgeon is part of a neighboring group, but lives in this community and co-locates with our cardiologists.

The department works with four physician assistants, one dedicated to electrophysiology and three rotating between outpatient and inpatient.
