Internal Medicine #2515
Wisconsin – We seek two internists to join one other internist in an 8,000-sq ft out-patient setting. This community-based practice is attached to the medical center. The physicians will have dedicated exam rooms, a medical assistant and a triage nurse. There is a shared pool of receptionists, coders, transcriptionists, ancillary technicians and business office staff. The practice began using electronic medical records (EMR) in 2003. This position will partner with a dedicated and highly qualified medical staff, including mid-level providers. There is also an opportunity to see nursing home patients, if desired.
This is an employee position with a two-year $160,000 annual guarantee. After that period, the physicians will move to an incentive compensation plan. There is an option to go on the incentive plan after one year, if the physicians meets their financial targets.
The physicians will enjoy a 4-day workweek and share 1:6 “at home” call. A nurse triage service screens all calls before transferring them to the on-call physician.
Hospital patients are admitted to the local medical center by a hospitalist service that provides double coverage during the day and in-house coverage at night. The 7-hospitalist staff manages all admissions.
Our Northeast Wisconsin client is a nationally recognized healthcare system that excels in quality outcomes. It is the employer of choice in the area for both physicians and staff. Physicians enjoy a collegial working relationship and a staff that supports both primary care physicians and specialists.
This is a community-owned health system that includes three medical centers, all three are consistently recognized for their quality care. It is the second largest employer in the area, with more than 5,000 employees. The physician group employs over 100 primary care physicians, including family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics.
