Join a 58-member, single-specialty group cardiovascular group that includes cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiac and vascular surgeons. The group enjoys a 75% market share in its service area, treating 120,000 patients from across the Midwest in 2006. The group is also very active in clinical research.
Our client seeks an entrepreneurial non-interventional cardiologist for a new facility in a fast-growing city in southeastern Iowa. This facility will house a full range of diagnostic services including TEE, echo, and nuclear cardiology. This location is currently staffed by physicians from Des Moines, Iowa two days per week. This is an excellent opportunity to help build a new program from the ground level. There is strong community support for developing local cardiology services, ensuring the new physician will have a busy practice from day one. The market has very low managed care. The need for cardiology services is expected to continue its rapid growth due to the aging population. Additional cardiologists will be recruited in the near future.
