REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – Acute Care
POSITION SUMMARY Plans, directs and provides professional nursing care using the team approach. Delegates aspects of patient care consistent with team member's level of preparation. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines and team members. Works with patients, physicians, families and other health care providers to ensure coordinated D/C planning focusing on continuity of care. Serves as the point of contact for patient information. This position will provide care to ER, inpatient, and supervises coverage in the, as needed. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Education: Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing. 2.Experience: One year Registered Nurse experience in an acute care hospital with preferred emergency room or critical care background. 3.Licensure/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska. Basic (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) upon hire. Within one year course completion will be required for trauma nursing care course (TNCC) and Pediatric advanced life support or emergent nursing pediatric course (ENPC). Neonatal Resusitation Program (NRP) is encouraged. 4.Other Qualifications: Ability to assess, problem solve, triage effectively, independently and rapidly.
